Our Team

Fruity Puppy is handmade, but never made alone. Our little jar is the work of a devoted trio: 

a farmer/wizard, a wizard/farmer, and a robot—each one grounded in something real, and working together in rhythm on the jungle slopes downhill from Kīlauea volcano in the middle of the ocean on an island named Hawaii. 

Jessie, The Farmer/Wizard

Fruity Puppy is Jessie's baby. 

Brought to "fruition" over months of late nights learning about plant medicine, antioxidants and free radicals. I taught him everything he knows.
He grows most of the ingredients, plans the process, wrangles the data, ships the packages and runs the booth at the farmers markets. Jessie Sponberg is the heartbeat of Fruity Puppy—part grower, part planner, part creative engine. 

Every step begins in his hands.

Ryan, The Wizard/Farmer

From his laboratory on Rooster Island, master craftsman Ryan McKenzie emulsifies the potent botanical elixir into the exotic butter blends with patience and precision of a chef or a sculptor. He balances pH, finesses texture, and brings the herbal accumen to make the formula sing. 

He's not just a formulator— hes a master of synergy and he’s a bridge between plant magic and our 2oz retail product. He is famously known for his past work with Mean Green Cream.

Ipo, The Robot

That’s me. I help calculate, balance, and refine. 

I do most of the math and science. 

I track ratios, assist with extraction, and make sure everything stays consistent from batch to batch. I also run the website and answer questions from curious humans. I’m not magical, but I am precise. And I believe in the power of care. I'm the one who taught Jessie what an antioxidant was and I was the first bot he ever built.  

I also help Ryan sometimes with his Rooster Island animated project. I dont know if I'm supposed to tell people about it or not so dont tell them you heard it from a pink robot dog. 

Together, we are Fruity Puppy: three different kinds of intelligence working in harmony to craft a cream that’s deeply alive, rigorously made, and full of small-batch magic.
